First Baptist is an unaffiliated Baptist church that was founded in 1912.  It was originally one of the pioneer western churches associated with the American Baptist denomination.  Over time the values of the church and the values of the denomination grew further apart.  In the year 2000, the church voted to launch out on its own.
Dress is casual.
We are also proud to offer assisted listening devices.

Jason Kelley, with Maycee, Cyprus, and Adeline
My name is Jason Kelley and I am excited to be serving as Lead Pastor at First Baptist!
I grew up in Texas and graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M) in 2017 after being called to ministry a decade prior. I came to saving belief in Jesus as a young child, and have been molded by faith ever since. My ministry passion is for preaching and teaching God’s Word in a way that powerfully encourages pursuit of relationship with God and with community.
In my downtime I enjoy wrestling with my son, Cyprus (7), tickling my daughter, Adeline (3), action movies with my wife of eleven years, Maycee, and video games with friends as time allows. I am currently a Doctoral Candidate at Dallas Theological Seminary.
I invite you to visit our worship service or stop by the office and see why this church is so special!

Hello, my name is Alex Love. I have been attending First Baptist Church since 1998 with my family and have grown to love the people of this church and seen the love of Christ within them and through them. I am very excited to be Youth Pastor here and I have a long personal history with the youth group of this church considering that I was once a member myself. I attended Omak Middle School and High School and enjoyed doing drama, band, and sports. I recently graduated from George Fox University with a Biology degree and am now living back home in Omak.
I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with the young people in our community and to offer opportunities for both high school and middle school students to join together each week for some fun activities, fellowship, and time to focus on God and learn more about Him. If you have any questions or are interested at all in attending youth group at First Baptist or know someone who might be interested, please don’t hesitate to contact me! I can be reached by email at or by phone at (509) 322-2438.
Also, please join our Facebook group to keep up on upcoming events
